Monitor Ghosting & UFO Motion Test
Diagnose Overdrive Overshoot & Black Smear
Test your display panel for pixel response latency. Observe trailing ghosting, calibrate your monitor's internal overdrive setting (AMA / TraceFree), and detect black-level smearing across 3 velocity bands.
If you see a dark trailing blur behind the saucer, increase monitor Overdrive.
If you see a bright white halo leading or trailing, reduce Overdrive (Extreme to Normal).

How to Calibrate Your Monitor's Internal Overdrive (OD) Setting
Every gaming monitor includes an On-Screen Display (OSD) setting called Overdrive (known as AMA on BenQ, TraceFree on ASUS, Response Time on LG/Samsung, or OD on Acer):
- OD Off / Low: Slow liquid crystal transitions. Results in thick motion blur and trailing ghosting. Not recommended for competitive gaming.
- OD Normal / Fast (The Sweet Spot): Provides crisp pixel transition acceleration without exceeding the target voltage threshold. Minimal blur and zero inverse halos.
- OD Fastest / Extreme (The Trap): Extreme voltage overdrive. While marketing promotes "1ms GtG", this mode generates horrific white inverse ghosting coronas that ruin target tracking.
