Frequently Asked Questions
What is the official resolution for Elgato Stream Deck icons?
Elgato Stream Deck displays native keycap icons at 72x72 px or 144x144 px (for high-DPI displays). Designing at 144x144 px ensures razor-sharp graphics on all models including Stream Deck MK.2, Stream Deck XL, and Stream Deck Mobile.
Can I use these icons on Touch Portal or Deckboard?
Yes! All icons export as standard 144x144 square PNG files with optional transparency or dark gradients, making them 100% compatible with Touch Portal, Deckboard, Loupedeck, and Macro Deck.
Should I use text labels on Stream Deck icons?
Stream Deck software allows you to display title text above or below keys. However, baking high-contrast text directly into the icon graphic (like 'MUTE', 'DEAFEN', 'REC') ensures instant recognition during intense gaming.
